Investigation of M. alkalescens, M. arginini, M.dispar, M. canis and M. bovirhinis on cattle pneumonia cases observed in Sivas region

Öz

M. bovis is isolated frequently among bacterial agents in cattle pneumonia cases. However, there hasn’t been any information about the presence of M. alkalescens, M. arginini, M.dispar, M. canis and M. bovirhinis agents outside of M. bovis in Sivas region. In the current study, it was aimed to detect other mycoplasma agents except M. bovis in cattle pneumonia cases. With this aim, slaughtered cattle lungs were examined in terms of pneumonia in Sivas city and a total of 200 pneumonic lungs were evaluated for mycoplasma agents by culture method. Mycoplasma suspected cultures were examined with PCR and M. alkalescens, M. arginini, M.dispar and M. bovirhinis detection rates were 2.5%, 1%, 4% and 2%, respectively. As a consequence, these mycoplasma species should be taken into consideration in bovine pneumonia cases.

Sivas Yöresinde Gözlenen Sığır Pnömoni Vakalarında M. alkalescens, M. arginini, M.dispar, M. canis ve M. bovirhinis Varlığının Araştırılması

Öz

Sığır pnömoni vakalarında M. bovis bakteriyel etkenler arasında sıklıkla teşhis edilmektedir. Ancak Sivas bölgesinde M. bovis dışında M. alkalescens, M. arginini, M.dispar, M. canis ve M. bovirhinis’in varlığı hakkında bilgiye rastlanılmamıştır.  Bu çalışmada Sivas bölgesindeki sığır pnömoni vakalarında M. bovis haricindeki diğer mikoplazma etkenlerinin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Sivas il merkezi mezbahalarında kesimi yapılmış sığırların akciğerleri pnömoni bulgularına göre incelenmiş ve toplamda 200 adet pnömonik akciğer örneği laboratuvarda kültürü yapılarak mikoplazma etkenleri yönünden değerlendirilmiştir. Mikoplazma şüpheli kültürler polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (PZR) ile incelendiğinde örneklerin %2.5’u M. alkalescens, %0.5’i M. arginini, %2’si M. dispar ve %1’i M. bovirhinis pozitif bulundu. M. canis ise tespit edilemedi. Sonuç olarak sığır pnömoni vakalarında bu mikoplazma türleri de teşhiste dikkate alınmalıdır.
