Virüslerin Reverz Genetiği

Öz

Reverz genetik, genom üzerindeki dizilerin fonksiyonlarını belirlemeye yönelik girişimlere imkan tanıyan güçlü sistemlerden oluşmaktadır. Virüslerin kolay manipüle edilebilir yapısı ve hızlı fenotipik karakter sergileme özelliği virüs reverz genetiği alanındaki gelişmeleri de beraberinde getirmiştir. Virüs reverz genetiği, özellikle dinamik yapısıyla mutasyon oluşturmaya müsait, yüksek patojenik RNA virüsleri hakkındaki bilinmezliklerin ortaya çıkarılmasında önemli görevler üstlenmektedir. Bu görevlerin başında viral patogenez ve virülens faktörlerin belirlenmesi sonrasında ise yüksek immunojenik, non-patojenik -iyi virüs- üretme girişimleri gelmektedir. Bu derlemede reverz genetik sistemler sistemleri ve mevcut gelişmeler hakkında bilgi verilmektedir.
